SEND TRANSCRIPTS TO UC's + CSU's AFTER YOU'VE ACCEPTED THEIR OFFER OF ADMISSION
UCs & CSUs do not need an initial or a mid-year transcript from you unless they have specifically reached out for one. They will only need a final transcript if you commit to their school. If you send a transcript to a UC or CSU prior to being accepted, they will not review it and will not be factored into their decision for admission. Ms. Yu, support counselor at AVHS, put together a presentation summarizing points UC College Admission Counselors covered during their Mental Health & College Application workshop at the UC Conference for Counselors.
UC admission counselors acknowledged that they are aware of the rising number of students who experience mental health challenges during their high school career. They want applicants to understand that it is okay to bring up these challenges in an informative way and how to go about it. Everything on the college application provides context for the readers!
