About me...

About Me

I grew up in Oxnard (between Malibu and Santa Barbara). Yep, I started my life off as a Southern California beach girl. My brother and sister still live there and I love to go visit them and my favorite beach - Silver Strand.

I have worked in Recreation, Early Childhood Education, and the food industry as a pastry chef. I went to East Bay Cal State University in Hayward to obtain a BA in Environmental Education and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have had a lot of fun jobs - teaching is the best!

I taught in the Hayward School District for a year and then moved to Pleasanton Unified School District in 2000. I taught Kindergarten/First grade and 4th/5th Grade, I was a Discovery School teacher at Walnut Grove. When the Discovery program ended I moved to 4th grade.

I have 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. My daughter, Sarah, and her husband live in Pleasant Hill with my 4 grandchildren. My oldest son, Chris, lives in Rulwarsar, in Northern India. My youngest son Gabriel works and lives in San Francisco. Gabe is a graduate of Walnut Grove, he started kindergarten with Mrs. Homes and went on to Harvest Park Middle School and then to Amador. I have lived in Pleasanton for almost 30 years and now live in Livermore near downtown.

Teaching has allowed me to integrate all of my passions and interests. How incredible to have this career!!! I love learning and I love working with children, this year I get to share these passions and interests with your children and learn about their passions and interests. It is going to be an exciting year.
