FALL 2021 PLEASANT HILL ROOSTERS & CHICKS SPECTATOR GUIDELINES

FOR ATHLETIC/ACTIVITY EVENTS DURING COVID PANDEMIC

Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the Pleasant Hill School District will following guidelines/restrictions as an effort to prolong the fall sports season and to keep our students, coaches, officials and fans safe at our sporting and activity events. The guidelines/restrictions are established to adhere to the recommendations of the Cass County Health Department and the CDC.

Acknowledgment of Infection Risks: The risk of coronavirus transmission will still be present to some degree as school activities begin in August and possibly through the 2021-2022 school year. Students and their families, along with school personnel must recognize these risks and implement best practices to reasonably mitigate these risks. Participation in school activities is voluntary and every individual will need to evaluate the risk versus the benefits of activity participation. Those immuno-compromised students and staff, or those who live with family members with elevated health concerns, should evaluate associated risks of participation and may choose not to participate. The primary means of corona virus transmission is through respiratory droplets and potentially aerosolized. Risk mitigation strategies should be aimed at reducing the likelihood of a person’s respiratory droplets coming into contact with another person. Every school is different and every activity is different. Certain mitigation strategies may be feasible in one school or for one activity, but not another.

General Guidelines at Pleasant Hill

  • Currently spectators will not be limited in our venues (other than fire occupancy safety requirements).

  • Currently the wearing of masks indoors will be required when social distancing is not possible.

(These general guidelines may change based on Cass County Health Department guidelines and restrictions.)

When Visiting Other Schools/Venues…

Each host school will share their guidelines/restrictions based on their school and county health department’s recommendations/requirements. We will share this information, as soon as we receive it on our social media outlets and our activities website. Each school will vary and we will have to adhere to their guidelines/requests or be asked to leave.

**IT IS EXPECTED THAT OUR PARENTS AND PATRONS ADHEAR TO OTHER SCHOOL'S RULES AND GUIDELINES SHOULD WE BE ASKED TO DO SO!!**

Pleasant Hill Schools will share any/all streaming options with parents and patrons. Visiting schools will be provided space to stream games as well.

Sport Specific Guidelines

**All students and coaches are required to wear masks while on public transportation!!

Football:

  • None at this time.

  • CONCESSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED

  • NO FANS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD AFTER THE GAME

Soccer/MS/9th/JV Football

  • None at this time.

  • CONCESSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED

  • NO FANS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD AFTER THE GAME

  • ADMISSION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY! - Single Tickets $5, Students - No Charge with School ID, Senior Citizens (65+) - No Charge

  • Sub-Varsity only events - Single Tickets $3, Students - No Charge with School ID

Volleyball (HS/MS)

  • At this time, there are no restrictions on attendance numbers at indoor athletic events.

  • The wearing of masks indoors will be required when social distancing is not possible.

  • Gates open for events 45 minutes prior to game times.

  • Seating is general admission.

  • PHHS Student Section will be to the far north of the bleachers.

  • CONCESSIONS WILL BE PROVIDED

  • NO FANS ALLOWED ON THE COURT AFTER THE GAME

  • ADMISSION WILL BE AVAILABLE ONLINE ONLY! - Single Tickets $5, Students - No Charge with School ID, Senior Citizens (65+) - No Charge

  • Sub-Varsity only events - Single Tickets $3, Students - No Charge with School ID
