Over a year ago now Junior at Papillion La Vista South - Matthew Valenta approached Mrs. Peitz with a project. “If I write a band piece, will you have my sisters’ class play it?” “If it's any good - yes!” So a full year of edits, requests, changes, and more edits and requests and changes. Here we finally are - Matthew’s creative composing journey.
About the Composer:
Matthew Valenta is a former Liberty Middle School band student and currently a junior at Papillion La Vista South High School (PLSHS). Matthew is an excellent trumpet player in numerous band activities and plays guitar for Show Band. He is also an excellent athlete and runs cross country and track at PLSHS (state qualifier for both) . Matt also enjoys various side hobbies when his studies allow for a break.
