Hi, I'm Mrs. Zayas! I am your School Librarian at La Vista Middle. This is my first year and I am so happy to be here to meet all of your reading needs! I have always been a reader and the library is one of my favorite places. I am currently working on my second Master's degree which is in Learning, Design, and Technology with a School Librarian emphasis at the University of Nebraska-Kearney. I have two high-schoolers (Go Monarchs!) and a 7th grader here at LVMS. Some of my favorite things are: coffee, flowers, music, movies, visiting Puerto Rico, and spending time with my family. One of my favorite books is A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Betty Smith.

Hello! I'm Mrs. Buike. I've always loved to read. Fun fact... My home town library didn't have a limit on books until I came along! After I discovered Nancy Drew they had to set a limit of 10 books per person because I would check out (and finish reading) 20 books a week! I was a Library Aid my Junior and Senior year in high school, but didn't think about working in a library until later. I went back to college and graduated in 2019 with a Bachelors in Education with a Major in Library Science and a Minor in Business. I started that fall as a Special Education Para at G. Stanley Elementary and in January of 2021 transferred to LVMS as the Library Para. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband, three kids, two dogs, and two cats. I also enjoy putting together puzzles, playing card games (UNO, Phase 10, and Skip-Bo) and... reading.  My favorite books fall under the Fantasy genre: Narnia, LOTR and Harry Potter. I have lost count of how many times I have re-read these books!
