Scholarships
PLC Armidale has a limited number of scholarships awarded on merit in the following categories: academic, all-rounder, boarding, creative and performing arts, and future leader.
In choosing the best school environment for your daughter, there are two key considerations:
The educational and learning benefit outcomes, along with the values and culture of learning she will be immersed in.
Since 1887, we have been educating girls of promise and potential. We understand and appreciate their specific needs. The evidence shows girls in an all-girl’s school perform better academically, are more confident to take on challenges and leadership roles, and are more likely to participate in sports and subjects like mathematics and the sciences.
Our rich heritage has been characterised by the consistent pursuit of rigorous academic endeavour and achievement. The creative and performing arts, leadership and service, learning, sports and outdoor challenge are the pillars of a PLC Armidale experience.
Many accomplished women have been beneficiaries of the scholarships and bursaries offered to girls of promise and potential. These girls from across NSW, have shown an appreciation of this opportunity through a commitment to their education and future endeavours.
President of the National Farmers Federation, Fiona Simson, was a recipient of a scholarship at PLC Armidale. So too was CEO of Fletcher International Exports, Melissa Fletcher, and Dr Nicole Sides, director of Compass Fertility and former ACT Business Woman of the Year, along with many more.
"I was lucky enough to enter PLC Armidale on an academic scholarship in Year 7. I had no idea just how much the skills I learned during my secondary schooling would influence my current career.”
Fiona Simson - Former NFF president and current Director of the World Farmers' Organisation
