Backgrounds: Tirana is the capital and largest city of Albania. It serves as the political, economic, and cultural hub of the country. Located in central Albania, the city is surrounded by mountains and hills, with the Dajti Mountain to the east. Tirana was officially declared the capital of Albania in 1920, replacing Durrës. Since then, it has undergone significant urban expansion and modernization, transforming from a small Ottoman town into a vibrant European metropolis.
