About Me

Personal Statment

Hi! My name is Julie Seth. I live in Washington DC with family of four including a younger brother. I have been playing field hockey since middle school and started playing goalkeeper shortly thereafter. I became a goalkeeper because I believe the position plays an essential role in the game through leadership and communication. I have learned to be a loud, communicative, and robust leader through goalkeeping in field hockey. In addition, I also enjoy sliding, diving, and saving balls! I desire rigorous academics, competitive field hockey, and an inclusive community in my collegiate experience. I want to attend a school where I will challenge myself, explore my passions, and discover new found interests in all aspects of campus life.

Core Values

INTEGRITY

Acting with integrity is importnat to me when striving for success in life because I want my achivemnts to be accomplished with sincerity and honesty. It is critical for me to know when I accomplish something, it is something I have done with my own talents and knowledge. In addition, intergrity and openess are improtant to me in relationships with others so I can foster trust and respect with the people I interact with.

HARD WORK

Hardwork is what pushes me to reach my goals and excel. When I take on something I am always determined to give more than 100% all the time. A strong work ethic makes me feel proud of myself and turns my aspriations into a reality. In field hockey, for every game and every practice I will always keep pushing myself for greater success.

KINDNESS

Kindness is improtant to me because showing compassion and being supportive brings me a sense of fulfillment. Knowing I can make someone's day and spread positivity to others makes me the most happy. Especially with my teammates, having an eencouring and caring community can make a huge difference on and off the field.
