Hello!

I am Christy Sandell, and this will be my 20th year as a science teacher at Platte County High School. I will be offering Earth Science and Environmental Biology this year and I love these classes!! I have taught Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science, and Honors Physical Science in the past. 

I earned a B.S. in Biology (Ecology emphasis) with a minor in Chemistry from Northwest Missouri State University in 2003, a B.A. in Secondary Science Education from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2005, and completed my Masters in Biology from the University of Nebraska Kearney in 2010. 

My husband and I celebrated our 19-year anniversary this summer.  We have two children, a son named Beckett and a daughter named Brontë.  I love to read, travel, and game whenever I have the time and my children and I spend our days in the summer exploring the wonderful Kansas City metro area!
