-I wanted to give a few reminders of internal Help Items. Please make sure to always let us know when ever the dashboard is inacurate or a link is not working so we can fix it. Don't forget we have a platinum face book page where a lot of agents ask for help. If you have not been added to that send me an email and I will get it added for you.
-Some carrier appointments have been taking a lot longer than usual but we are still in the works with farmers' union and Agraria.
-Please make sure to never use the platinum trus account. If you do not have a sub code, the trust account on file will be platinum, so you will need to make sure to send checks you get into the carrier and not pull from that.
-With that being said, we have had a few instances also where, for whatever reason, the master account will have marketing dollars or certain things in it and it will show on other agents' profile pages. Please, before you ever pull from these, make sure it belongs to you and not the master account or someone else. If you have a sub code, it will belong to you, but if not, there is a good chance it will not.
-I want to get feedback on how to best distribute carrier pdf's they send over with underwriting guidlines, marketing material, and just announcements. We will always forward these but would it help if we put them in the dashboard under carrier resources? Is there any other ideas? They have a lot of valuable info but it seems nearly impossible to read through them all and remember they are there. Personally when I was an agent I went to the carrier site's and reviewed the underwriting info and other items.
Safeco is slowly becoming one of the more competitive options in utah again it looks like which is great news. Not a lot of news with the carrier outside of that.
We are running high with Progressive on the home underwriting. This is also what is causing the hold-up in sub-codes and determining which agents will get the home appointment also. In the most recent update we had a lot of cancellations from underwriting that should have been caught before. The main items are - Not disclosing dogs, Over hanging tree limbs, roof material that is ineligable and land over 5 acres. Please make sure you are verifiying with the customers all of that info and using google maps to view their homes.
Travelers is really opening up and they are considering lifting or easing up on the bundle rate. With that being said they want a big push for the end of the year to maxamize this so when they do their annual review they will be able to push for that.
Secondary High wildfire homes can be acceptable. They also take a lot of hard to place Auto commercial products, so don't forget to check them before e&s.
Hartford offers credit on their site. Don't forget to take advantage of this when trying to win a client. You can also reach out to micah for even additional credit sometimes to win an account.
We had a good meeting with Mountain States. They still want to make sure you have productions to get codes, but it is looking like they are pushing more for just 4 commercial accounts annually.
