The third annual meeting of the "The Silene vortex", a scientific workshop that brings together the international community of researchers working on evolutionary biology with the Silene genus as a model will take place virtually on 12-13 October 2023. This annual meeting follows those organised in 2021 and 2022.

The present meeting will allow presentation of the most recent advances in evolutionary research on Silene, allow inspiration from other model systems, and will favour the exchange of knowledge, the development of new research ideas, the sharing of resources and the creation of new collaborative synergies, and reinforce the existing scientific collaborations on Silene.
