Introduction

This website is a way for parents, students, faculty, staff and other members of the Plainville community to keep up to date with activities and events that are occurring in Mr. Turcotte's Physical Education classes, before and after school, and within the Physical Education department throughout the district. This is a work in progress and will gradually be expanded as time continues. The links on the left side should help you learn more about what the students are doing at Wheeler School as well as keep you up to date on activities you can participate in with the Wheeler School students to help make Plainville Schools a fun and healthy atmosphere for our students to learn and grow.

Who is Mr. Turcotte

Mr. Turcotte completed his master's program in Physical Education with a focus in Athletic Administration at Springfield College, where he also earned his Bachelor's of Science in Physical Education. He is a Wheeler School alum and graduated from Plainville High School c/o 2006. Mr. Turcotte comes to Wheeler with a multitude of leadership and teaching experiences including serving as a Head Resident Assistant at Springfield College, as well as Program Counselor and later Program Coordinator at the Bridging the Gap juvenile court diversion program at the Salvation Army in Springfield, MA. In addition to his love of teaching and sports, Mr. Turcotte enjoys SCUBA diving, mountain biking, fishing, camping, and is a percussionist in the Plainville Wind Ensemble. He has returned to Wheeler eager to teach and happy to give back to his hometown community.
