Pirates' Media Center

The Mission of the Plainview Public School Media Center is to provide a diverse and adequate collection of materials in order to achieve the school’s mission statement, as well as meet state and curriculum standards. The media center will continue to adapt to changing curriculum and school population, while also providing up-to-date materials on current issue topics. It is of upmost importance the media center provide materials for students of all needs and all diversities. The media center will promote reading for enjoyment and help foster a love for reading. Finally, the media center personnel will strive to help students achieve the American Association of School Librarians’ National School Library Standards and the information literacy standards.
