The PCMS basketball teams worked hard this season. The girls ended their season 1-9. Although the girls didn't take home the crown, they gave it their all and worked hard. Eighth grader, Fiona Plumadore says, “I think the basketball season went terrific. We all improved as a team, and as the season went on, we learned to play better as a team.” Eighth grader, Gabby Branch says, “The team has very good defense.” Eighth grader, Brynnlee Sweezey says, “We definitely improved since the beginning of the season and last year, and we learned to play better and listen to our coach.” Eighth grader, Winnie Savoie says, “Everyone worked very hard, and gave 100% every game. I think even though our record might tell a different story, we gave it our all, and I'm proud of us.” Savoie says that she is very proud of everyone. Despite the rocky season, the girls tried their hardest in every game and were never discouraged by a loss. Congratulations girls!
The boys worked just as hard as the girls, finishing their season with a 6-5 record. Just like the girls, the boys gave it their all, and made it to the championship! Let's hear from some of our boys: 8th grader, Jesus Jimenez-Rodriguez says, “I would like to say thank you to the coaches for having me on the team, and I think that we have all improved as a team and have gotten better at working together and pushing ourselves to the limits no matter what.” 8th grader, Andrew Ouliette says, “The team improved a lot. I am very proud of us because we played and practiced hard and gave it our all.” 8th grader, Austin Nisbit says, “The highlight of this season is when we made it to the championship. My favorite memory from this season is when we won, and I got a double-double. I finished the game with 10 points and 10 boards.” 8th grader, James Parinas says, “I liked how we improved and progressed as a team, and how we worked together.” Without a doubt, the boys played hard and gave it their all. Congratulations boys!
