Meet the QTN Student Team

Dayan Bardales

PAAAS Student

Class of 2023

Dayan Bardales joined QTN in November, 2020. Dayan is Lead Camera Technician here at QTN, where she controls and directs camera coverage during livestreamed events. Dayan also teaches new QTN members how to use the cameras for the various events that we cover. In addition, Dayan also works as a photographer for QTN.

Dayan enjoys being part of QTN because it provides the tools and opportunities to strengthen her TV Production skills. It is also a good outlet for socializing with people who share the same passion.

As a senior at the Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies (PAAAS), Dayan has a 4.4 GPA with a focus in TV Production. In her free time, Dayan likes to make short films and paint.

After graduation, Dayan hopes to pursue higher education with a concentration in filmmaking.

Dayvis Muralles

Dayvis Muralles joined QTN in January 2021. Dayvis is a camera operator here at QTN, where he records what takes place during the game. He is also instrumental in the set-up and break-down of all of our streaming equipment for every livestreamed event.

Dayvis enjoys being part of QTN because of the thrill he gets from being part of a production team and contributing his efforts and skills. Dayvis wants QTN to influence the community and encourage Plainfield to be proud of what our own students are capable of accomplishing while supporting programs like QTN.

As a sophomore at PAAAS, Dayvis takes pride in simply being an typical high school student. He can be eccentric some of the time, but always enjoys being himself. Dayvis does not have a natural interest in sports, despite his relative athleticism. Nevertheless, he enjoys taking part in the production end of livestreaming Plainfield's sporting events. Outside of QTN, Dayvis has interests in art, though sometimes doesn't have the patience required for some artistic endeavors.

After graduation, Dayvis plans to go to college to pursue something that will intrigue him and help to prepare him to be able to live a solid, happy life. QTN will help Dayvis fulfill his goal by exposing him to many different views and provide with useful skills that he can utilize later on in life.

Jiaelle Estelus

PAAAS Student

Class of 2023

Jiaelle Estelus joined QTN in November 2020. Jiaelle serves as one of QTN's live personalities, alternating between play-by-play commentator and color commentator. She enjoys being able to host our livestreams, describe the action, and also analyze it in real time. Jiaelle has also served our team as a producer from time to time.

Jiaelle appreciates being part of our QTN because it gives her the opportunity to get out of her comfort zone and learn new skills and discover abilities she did not previously know she had. Jiaelle wants QTN to continue growing and becoming an iconic piece of Plainfield's schools, sports, and community.

As a Junior at Plainfield Academy of the Arts and Advanced Studies (PAAAS), Jiaelle likes being able to pursue unique arts and interests while also focusing on academics. In her time thus far at PAAAS, Jiaelle has been named student of the month (2017) and has earned 3rd place in the school science fair (2019). Jiaelle is a timid person, but when getting to know her, you will soon realize that she is a very caring and open person as well. She has a strong love for music as well as for photography, drawing, and painting.

After graduation, Jiaelle plans continue on to college. While she has not yet decided on what field to pursue, Jiaelle is confident that she will find a major that will push her to keep growing personally and that will help her determine her future career path. QTN is helping Jiaelle to speak up and be more confident in herself and her abilities.

Zoë Sylvester joined QTN in November 2020. Zoë serves as our Social Media Coordinator here at QTN where she is manages our QTN account on all of our social media platforms including Instagram and Twitter. She is responsible for advertising our livestream events and posting content while we are live.

Zoë enjoys being part of QTN because this program allows students to learn new things in every sport, learn how to communicate with a team, and learn the production process. Zoë wants QTN to continue its success and continue growing, even past when she graduates next year with new team members and an expanding platform.

As a Junior at Plainfield Academy for the Arts and Advanced Studies (PAAAS), Zoë is a part of the Theatre Studio and has been achieving Honor Roll throughout her entire time at PAAAS. Zoë is also a part of Rutgers Upward Bound which is a precollege program designed to assist and motivate students to successfully graduate from high school, prepare for college admission, and to receive a college degree.

After graduation, Zoë plans to help children in need, especially around struggling communities, which will help to prepare her to be able to become a Special Education Teacher. QTN will help Zoë achieve the goal of becoming a Special Education Teacher by helping her learn a variety of communication strategies and techniques that she will be able to continue to utilize and build upon in her future education and career.
