Dual Credit Registration Instructions
Dual Credit Registration Instructions
Steps required to earn college credit
Enroll at VU (deadline 8/9/24)
1. Complete the enrollment here: https://connect.vinu.edu/register/vp. Use an email address you will actually check - there will be multiple important emails from VU over the course of the year.
2. Watch for the email with your A-number (looks like A00765123). This is your Vincennes student ID and will be needed at various times throughout the year.
Register for Class (deadline 8/23/24)
3. Once you have your A-number, complete my google form.
Note 1: Completing this step obligates you to pay for the course ($75 per semester).
Note 2: If you qualify for the National Lunch Program, the $75 fee is waived.
Note 3: If you miss this deadline, you can still take my class for regular PHS credit but will not receive the college credit.
Log in to VUX website (deadline 9/1/24)
4. Log into the VU website at www.vinu.edu. The first time you log in, you have to pretend like you forgot your password and do the password reset. It will send the email to the address you gave them in step 1.
5. Log into the VU website using your new password. You will need your phone for this step. Here are instructions for how to set up and log in with Duo Mobile.
6. Add a parent as an 'authorized payer'. Give VU a valid email address of the parent/guardian that is going to pay for the course.
Pay for the Course (deadline approximately 9/15/24)
7. After I submit the registration, VU will start entering students into classes. Once VU processes the registration they will send an email to the authorized payer. Account balance must be paid within 15 days from when the billing notice was sent. If your parent doesn't receive the email notification, you can pay online through the VU website. Log in and scroll down under Financial where it says "Statement and Billing".
Items of Note
You must earn a C or better to earn the college credit from VU.
Failure to pay the $75 course fee will result in a 'hold' on your transcript which will prevent credits from transferring and will also prevent you from registering for other dual credit courses through VU.
You can drop the course up until 11/1/24. This would prevent a low grade from showing on a college transcript. However, you would still have to pay the $75 course fee.
