Schwarting Book Selection Policy
Library books are due the day your child's class has library--see schedule below. Books can be renewed up to 2 times (and longer if requested)

Grades K-4 may take out one book per week! Grade 5 may take out two.

Library Class offers the opportunity for children to learn responsibility, taking care of belongings, and returning borrowed items when they are due. Students should never feel bad if they forget their book; it happens to everyone! 

We will send home overdue notice sheets as a means of a reminder if a book is not returned. Books can be brought in the next day OR the next library class.

If your book is lost, we will wait a few weeks just in case it turns up. If it is still not found, a notice will be sent home with your child detailing the replacement cost of the book. Please make out a check (not cash) to Plainedge School District and send it back in with your child.

***Birthday Books & Bookmarks  are for students to keep FOREVER! It is a new special gift from the Library to your children. ALL students will be accounted for... even our summer birthdays! Any questions, please reachout!
