In this constantly evolving technology-dependent world in which we live, careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics are increasing in scope and demand. We feel it is important for us as educators to provide students with lifelong STEAM-based skills that they can utilize throughout the rest of their Plainedge journey and beyond.
One of the core goals of the Plainedge STEAM program is to provide students an opportunity to experience lessons that enrich the implementation of NYS Standards, Next Generation Science Standards, and ISTE Standards. We are excited to utilize this website to highlight how this program leverages technology to develop students’ creativity and problem-solving skills.
Our STEAM program would not be possible without the amazing guidance and support of our Plainedge Administration and Board of Education. We strive to help students develop skills that are predicted to be needed in their future careers such as problem-solving, interpersonal skills, flexibility and time management.
