Hello! I am Mrs. Kannady and I am so excited to share the gift of music with Hanna Woods! When I'm at home, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Bill, my daughters, Stella and Isla and my son, Will. I like to run, bake bread, play outside, read and drink coffee.
I earned my Bachelors in Vocal Music and my Masters in Education from Truman State University and previously taught in the Wentzville School District. This will be my 11th year at Hanna Woods; time flies when you're having fun!
I am always searching for new ways to broaden my knowledge of teaching, student development, social emotional learning, and music, in order to give students the best possible experience. I am a member of multiple professional organizations and have received my Level II Orff Certification.
I believe that music has something to offer for all types of learners and each student has the ability to find success in his or her own way. Music strengthens teamwork, self-confidence, creativity, discipline, self-expression, and so much more! I hope to make music meaningful and enjoyable for every student.
My goal is to leave students feeling inspired to be more open-minded and well-rounded individuals. In music we learn more than notes and rhythms...we learn to be respectful and kind people!
