2. How Do I Participate
Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members, including 1 team leader.
Each team must be assisted by 1 guidance lecturer.
The Data Hackathon PolyCC or Datathon PolyCC is open exclusively to Polytechnics and College Community students under Jabatan Pendidikan Politeknik dan Kolej Komuniti.
3. About The Datathon PolyCC
The Datathon PolyCC is focused on exploring and gaining knowledge and skills in Data Analytics and Big Data. Students will receive relevant datasets to analyze and explore. Through collaboration and data analysis, participants will develop insights, and visualization and propose solutions to problems. By leveraging their skills and creativity, students will make a meaningful impact by creating solutions to problems.

7. How the Datathon Works
Gather team :
Decide on team members (max 3 include team leader) and appoint a team leader.
Register your team :
Team leader to visit https://sites.google.com/pkt.edu.my/dataconpolycc/register to register.
Attend the participant briefing session to get the challenge :
Attend the briefing session to understand the competition rules and regulations. The organizer will disclose the problem statements and give the datasets. Do some background study to have an overall perspective on the challenge given.
Attend an online workshop :
The team is welcome to attend the online workshop provided by the organizer. The workshop is intended to help the team gain knowledge and skills to conduct the challenge given.
Create Preliminary Video :
Discuss with the team members the best possible solution to tackle the challenge.
Create a 3-minute video on your team's idea based on the given information and possible data sources. Upload the video on YouTube.
Video Submission :
Once the video is ready for submission, the team leader will paste the URL of the YouTube video to the organizer.
Finalist Announcement :
The video submitted will be evaluated by a panel of judges and the announcement or 10 finalists will be made through the website.
8. Video Submission Guideline
Understand the problem statement :
Read and understand the problem statement given during the online briefing on 26th September.
Refer to datasets :
Please refer to the datasets given and try to ideate the scope of your analysis. You can refer to other data sources to support your idea.
Content of video :
Your hypothesis on the issue given.
Explain the data and visualization technics that you plan to do and what the expected outcome from the visualization.
Duration :
Video duration should not exceed 3 minutes.
Format :
Any format supported by YouTube.
9. Rubric
The rubric of the competition will be disclosed in the online briefing session.
