At Kinross Primary School, our Primary 1 environment is play based providing opportunities for deep and meaningful learning promoting creativity, curiosity and challenge. Play is a fundamental and vital dimension of childhood as well as an essential element of children’s social, cognitive, physical and emotional development.

We provide lots of opportunities to explore and learn independently and collaboratively whilst making careful observations which are used to enhance the children’s learning experiences and plan next steps in learning.
