Here you can find our scheduled meetings! Please make your best effort to attend the meetings, as they are mandatory as NHS members. But, if you happen to miss a meeting, or would like to refer back to something mentioned during a previous meeting, you can come here for what you missed!
At this meeting, we talked about Blood Drive lunchtime sign-ups and the blood drive training session. Please check Google Classroom to see the important dates for those.
Reminder about tutoring: please don't forget to IMMEDIATELY contact the student you are assigned to tutor. Also, if the student doesn't follow up within that day, please send another email to ensure you able to contact them. Communication is key!
Christian had some great ideas for NHS service projects including volunteering at the Saint Mary's Homeless Shelter on weekdays. More details will follow once we get in contact with the different organizations we'd like to help this year.
As always, If you have any ideas for NHS projects, please email nhs@pjphs.org!
At the end of the meeting, Miss McNair reminded us that the December 7th NHS 1st Grade Christmas Party is fast approaching. Please look out for info for that soon.
Our first meeting of the year! We mainly talked about the tips and tricks for tutoring. You were all emailed the Google Slides presentation we talked about at the meeting, but I've also attached it below. Once you are assigned students to tutor, please be sure to refer back to the PowerPoint if you have any questions!
When you are asked to tutor, please IMMEDIATELY email that student and set up the best time to meet. After, please email Alyssa Garcia (20181650@pjphs.org) to confirm that you were able to contact your student.
Also, we briefly introduced "Project T.E.A.C.H.", a program where PJP students will be working to help tutor kids from Saint Francis of Assisi in Norristown. If this is something you are interested in, please contact Molly Green (20181875@pjphs.org).
If you have not already filled out the NHS tutor form emailed to you, please do so ASAP!
Thank you and God Bless!
