This page explains how to request deletion of your Factora account and the personal information held with it, what is removed, and what is kept.
Before you start
Factora is a private tool used by a factory. Accounts are created by an administrator at that factory — there is no public sign-up, and you cannot delete your own account from inside the app. Deletion is carried out for you on request, which is what this page is for.
How to request deletion
Option 1 — ask your factory's administrator. This is the fastest route. Your administrator can deactivate your access immediately and request full deletion on your behalf.
Option 2 — write to us directly. Send an email to [CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject Delete my Factora account, and include:
the mobile number you sign in with;
your name as it appears in the app;
the name of the factory you work with.
We use those three details only to find the right account and confirm the request is genuinely yours. We may contact your factory's administrator to verify it before we delete anything, because the records involved belong to that business.
What is deleted
Your account: your name, your mobile number, your role and plant.
Your passcode. It is stored only as a cryptographic hash and that hash is destroyed.
Your membership of every factory, which ends your access immediately.
Any profile photo you uploaded.
What is kept, and why
Some records are the factory's business history rather than your personal account, and deleting them would falsify that factory's production and stock records. These are kept:
Job cards, stock movements, purchases and schedules you created or worked on. A job card also records the name of the person who raised it, and that name stays on the card as part of the production record.
Security audit entries — what was done and when, including the IP address of the request. After deletion these are no longer linked to your account.
If you want your name removed from historical records as well, say so in your request. Your factory can ask us to replace it with an anonymous label; this is done manually, so allow extra time.
If a factory closes its account
When a factory stops using Factora, all of its data — including every user account belonging to it — is deleted within [NUMBER] days of a written request from that factory, except anything we are required by law to retain.
How long it takes
We acknowledge your request within [NUMBER] working days and complete deletion within [NUMBER] days. Your sign-in access is revoked as soon as the request is verified, before the deletion itself is finished. We email you when it is done.
If you are a worker or a business contact, not a user
Factora also holds records about workers and about parties a factory buys from or dispatches to — a name, a phone number, sometimes an address. If you appear in Factora that way but have never had a sign-in, contact the factory that holds those records, or write to us at [CONTACT EMAIL] and we will pass your request on and follow it up.
