This Privacy Policy explains how Kidimo (“we”, “us”, or “the app”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Kidimo application.
Kidimo is designed to help parents temporarily limit and guide device usage when handing a phone to a child, by activating a child-safe mode directly on the same device. Kidimo does not require remote monitoring, parent–child account pairing, or continuous tracking.
Kidimo does not require account creation to function.
Optionally, you may:
Enter a child’s name or nickname (for personalization only)
Set age range and usage limits
This information:
Is stored locally on the device
Is used only to configure age-appropriate limits
Is not shared, transmitted, or used to identify a real person
You can change or delete this information at any time within the app.
When Kidimo is active, we may collect limited technical information such as:
Device type and operating system
App usage duration while Kid Mode is active
App-level events (e.g. limits reached, mode enabled/disabled)
This data is used solely to:
Ensure the app functions correctly
Improve stability, performance, and user experience
We do not build personal profiles or track behavior outside Kidimo’s active session.
Kidimo may request the following permissions only when required for core functionality:
App Usage Access – to monitor time spent in apps while Kid Mode is active
Overlay / Accessibility Permissions – to show reminders or gently block apps when limits are reached
Notifications – to inform the parent when time limits are about to end or have ended
These permissions are:
Used only on the same device
Active only while Kid Mode is enabled
Never used for advertising or analytics tied to a child’s identity
Kidimo does not:
Record calls, messages, or contacts
Access photos, videos, microphone, or camera
Track real-time location or movement
Sync child data to a parent’s phone
Create behavioral or advertising profiles
We do not sell or rent personal data.
We may share limited, non-identifiable information only:
With service providers who help operate the app (e.g. analytics, crash reporting)
When required by law or legal process
To protect the safety, rights, or integrity of users or the app
All partners are required to process data securely and only for the intended purpose.
Kidimo is designed for use by parents or guardians, not by children independently.
Children do not create accounts
No child-identifying data is collected centrally
All settings are controlled by the adult activating Kid Mode
Any information related to a child remains local to the device and under the parent’s control.
If you purchase a subscription or any paid features in Kidimo on iOS:
All payments are processed securely by Apple App Store In-App Purchase
We do not collect, store, or have access to your full payment information (such as credit card numbers)
Apple may provide us with limited information related to your purchase, such as:
Subscription status (active, expired, canceled)
Transaction identifiers or receipts
Product type (subscription or one-time purchase)
This information is used solely to:
Verify your access to paid features
Manage subscriptions and entitlements
Provide customer support when needed
Payment information is handled in accordance with Apple’s App Store Privacy Policy and In-App Purchase terms.
