Mrs. Moore - First Grade Teacher

Hello! My name is Jodi Moore. Let me tell you a little about myself. I earned my teaching degree from UW-LaCrosse in 2004. My minor was early childhood which allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of children birth to age 8. I earned my masters through UW-LaCrosse in 2007. I was really able to focus on teaching skills in literacy! I am passionate about teaching children to read and I love every stage in the process of learning to read. Although, I think I love to read children stories just as much as I love to help them with their own reading!

This is my eighth year teaching first grade at Pittsville Elementary School and my 19th year of teaching! My previous teaching positions were in McFarland for 3 years, Wisconsin Rapids for 1 year, and Nekoosa for 7 years. All together, that is sixteen years of first grade and two of kindergarten. I LOVE first grade. It is my favorite grade!

I live in Pittsville. I am married to Tim and have 2 children. Olivia is my daughter and she is a eighth grader. My son, Keegan, is in sixth grade! Our dog is named Hazel. Our family loves to ride bikes, read books, play board games, and play outside. We also enjoy camping in the summer and skiing or snowboarding in the winter. If I have a quiet moment while everyone else is playing, I really love to scrapbook!
