Hello, my name is Mrs. Liz Knutson. I am the 6th through 8th grade math teacher here at Pittsville Elementary School. My husband and I have two daughters and reconnected with a son he put up for adoption. Carly, is a welder and fabricator and owns a hobby farm in the Pittsville area. Abbi is attending MSTC in the Civil Engineering Program. Bronson and his wife, Holly, have four step children between them and share three children.

I am a Pittsville Graduate and earned my Bachelor of Science from UW-Stevens Point. I started teaching high school math but quit to buy The Flower Shop in Pittsville when our first daughter was born.

During that time, I worked as a substitute teacher and have been a substitute in every classroom in our district. I have been the Middle School Math Teacher for the past five years. I am excited to be working with your students! We focus on the "Power of Yet..." in our classroom. Students may feel they are "bad" at math or "don't like" math but we learn that they just don't understand it yet...

In my spare time I enjoy camping especially in county parks, traveling, crafting, gardening- especially my flowers and following our girls and grandchildrens activities. Carly enjoys spending time on her hobby farm and Abbi enjoys competitive archery. We spend many hours with our family.

I encourage you to contact me with questions and concerns because I believe open communication is the key to successful students. I am excited to be working with our middle school Panther families!
