Student Growth

As part of the educational experience Middle School students will face new challenges. In order for students to become more independent self driven learners they will need to take on more responsibilities. The most important is developing the skill of being able to communicate with teachers. Each student has a district email and it is encouraged to use it to communicate in a professional way. If they need clarification, have to ask about a particular assignment, or need to set up a meeting they could do this by asking in person or through email. This will be reinforced throughout the school year and will be critical to their growth.

Class Structure

My class will be digital and engaging. All of the resources, daily notes, activities, and assignments will be on Google Classroom for anytime access. If a student does not have access to online resources at home physical handouts will be provided. If a student is absent, needs to make up work, or find missing work they should lean on Google Classroom for these resources. Assignment names on Google Classroom will correlate to logged information on PowerSchool.

PowerSchool will be the most valuable way to track student progress throughout the year. Please focus in on the comments section under grades for more information regarding a specific score. If you are not signed up please reach out to the main office for the credentials necessary to sign up. If you have any questions or concerns please reach out to me by email at dwyckoff@pittsgrove.net.
