PUSD School Counseling Program Mission

It is the mission of the Pittsburg Unified School District Counseling Program to follow and implement the ASCA (American School Counselor Association) National Standards and collaborate with school and community organizations. Our emphasis is on student needs and interests to foster growth through academic, career, and personal/social development.  By harnessing the rich diversity of our community, we strive to graduate culturally sensitive lifelong learners who contribute positively to society through safe, respectful, and responsible action.

At Pittsburg High School, our counselors aim to provide support to all students by organizing school-wide events and activities to keep students engaged and on track for graduation.
