CTE summer camps will be housed at middle and high schools across the district and offer students opportunities to learn about careers, earn industry credentials and tour local post secondary institutions and businesses!

Week One and Week Two (choose one)
School: Bethel School
This camp is all about technology! Students will learn basic computer skills, complete STEM activities, learn and practice with circuit boards, and learn basic computer science coding. Students will get to learn about Amazon Engineers through taking virtual tours while in this camp.

Week One
School: Ayden-Grifton High School
At Young Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, the primary goal is to equip young individuals with entrepreneurial skills. Through a blend of interacitve workshops, hands-on activities, several guest speakers, and a field trip to Influx Business Hub East & West, students will learn the ins and outs of creating a successful business.

Interested in learning more about the agricultural opportunities in Eastern NC? Join the Pitt County Ag teachers for 4 days of exploring our #1 industry as they take students to visit companies such as It's a Zoo Life, Simply Natural Creamery, Worthington Farms and many more!

Week One
School: South Central High School
Students will earn their certifications for CPR (BLS). This is a great time for students who may have earned these certifications in Health Science 2 their freshman or sophomore year to get recertified before taking Nursing Fundamentals.

School: Bethel School

This camp focuses on graphic design through Adobe software. It will cover specific topics to strengthen students skill sets such as editing, filters, layering styles, & pen tools. Students will have the opportunity to obtain their Adobe Certified Professional certification

This camp will cover a wide range of skills that all teens should learn to help as they grow into adults. Budgeting, paying bills, goal setting, and more! Students will also become certified in CPR.

Week Two
School: South Central High School
Students will earn their certifications for Stop the Bleed. This is a great time for students who may have earned these certifications in Health Science 2 their freshman or sophomore year to get recertified before taking Nursing Fundamentals.

Students will learn the ability and hands on with Flight Drones and how they are used at ECU Athelics Events, and how Drones are used in our agriculture industry in Easten North Carolina. Field trip to ECU Athletics will take place. Also, students will learn how food and exercise makes you feel better! Field trip to Pepsi in Ayden. See how Pepsi operates and distrubutes Gatorade in North Carolina.

Students will learn about business through operating small appliances to create fun treats such as popcorn and ice cream. Students will design and create their own business t-shirt to take home. This camp includes a field trip to Simply Natural Creamery.

Week One (two camps during the week)
School: Farmville Central High School
First Aid & CPR is a basic life support course that includes learning about the removal of foreign bodies in the airway, 1 & 2 rescuer CPR for adults, children, and infants, and using an AED machine. This camp will teach introductory first aid skills and CPR training. Students who partcipate in this program will receive their American Heart Association First Aid & CPR Certification.

Students will learn the basic steps in becoming an entrepreneur (being their own BOSS). Students will learn the basics of what it takes to become a "BOSS."Students will learn from different speakers about how they became a "BOSS." Students will complete hands on activities providded by speakers. Students will then create a "model" for the business they would like to open. This camp will include guest speakers and a field trip to Upstage Fitness (An Entrepreneur).

Week Two
School: Bethel School
Students will learn about business by using small applicances to make breakfast items such as waffles, pancakes, omelettes, bacon, and fresh juice. They will get to create their own personalized aprons to take home.

Week Two

Students will learn about electronic components and how current passes throught them to complete circuits while also learning about soldering techinques through kits. Students will be taking a field trip to Greenville Utilities or PCC for this camp.

This camp with teach students about operating their own sweet & salty business by learning to make popular treats and meet with industry professionals. Students will learn about the popcorn business, making ice cream & coffees, and how to design & make their own t-shirt.

Learn all about the process of marketing products, events, and businesses. This camp will include field trips to ECUs marketing department & a tour of a marketing firm.

Love to cook or want to learn more about what it takes to pursue a career in the food industry? Participants will get hands on experience in preparing meals and get the opportunity to earn the ServSafe credential which is necessary to work in the food industry. Recipes include but not limited to making pasta dishes, tiramisu, pork chops and cheescake. Students will also visit a local restaurant as a field trip to learn what it takes to make it in the industry.
