A conference marking the 50th anniversary of the publication of Barry Mazur's "Modular curves and the Eisenstein ideal" and Ken Ribet's "A modular construction of unramified p-extensions of Q(μ_p)". The talks will feature recent advances in areas of research that have been influenced by these two papers.
The Simons Foundation manages participation by invitation only. Please fill out the registration of interest form to indicate your interest in participating in the conference either in person or remotely via webcast. First consideration for in-person participation was given to registrations that were received by December 15, 2025. However, it is still worthwhile to register your interest after that date to be added to the waitlist for in person participation. Registration for remote participation will be open unless at least March 15, 2026, and there is no limit on the number of remote participants.
The organizers have a limited amount of funds available to support the travel expenses to attend the conference for researchers in junior career stages (graduate students and postdoctoral scholars).
