A conference marking the 50th anniversary of the publication of Barry Mazur's "Modular curves and the Eisenstein ideal" and Ken Ribet's "A modular construction of unramified p-extensions of Q(μ_p)". The talks will feature recent advances in areas of research that have been influenced by these two papers.
The Simons Foundation manages participation by invitation only. Please fill out the registration of interest form to indicate your interest in participating in the conference either in person or remotely via webcast. First consideration will be given to registrations received by November 2025. There are constraints on space for in person attendance, but no constraints on remote participation.
The organizers may have a limited amount of funds available to support the travel expenses to attend the conference. If funding is available, priority for funding will be given to researchers at junior career stages (graduate students and postdoctoral scholars).
