According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, to inspire is to spur on or motivate; to draw forth or bring out; to affect; to incite.
Through our PISD INSPIRE, we hope to spur and motivate each one throughout the academic year, to draw forth and bring out the skills, talents, courage, strength, creativity, and more that each one possesses within themselves, to affect readers positively, and to incite reflection and purposeful application.
How did PISD INSPIRE start?
In 2020, during the pandemic, Sir Rey and Ms. Sheng collaborated to share the first INSPIRE posts that were shared through PISD social media platforms. In 2023, the INSPIRE posts continued, but were drawn from full short stories or articles that Ms. Sheng wrote and sent to the PISD community, faculty, staff, learners, and parents included. Starting from academic year 2025-2026, the PISD alumni will also be reached with the INSPIRE articles.
With her writing background in self-publishing books, handling a blog, and creating content online, Ms. Sheng continues to share the words the Lord inspires her to write and share, believing that 'everyone needs encouragement.' The stories and encouragement you will read are all from the Lord, written through her.
