must have maintained a 90% or higher cummulative average in core classes throughout the school year.
participated in community service within the past year
Examples of community service/activity: participation in charity events, volunteer at concession stand, volunteer/help at (not attend) vacation bible school, help at a senior residential center, or food bank, etc.
Examples that do not qualify: babysitting for money or for family members, helping grandparents around the house, cleaning sports field/court as part of team participation/requirement, any activity where you received money for performing a task.
In order to allign with PHS National Honor Society dates, PJH will not induct new members during the Spring of 2027.
Instead, the new member application process and induction will be moved to the Fall of 2027 for 7th and 8th grade students.
Qualifications to apply:
A 90% or higher cumulative average in core classes each Six Weeks marking period throughout the year
Students must have been enrolled at PJH for at least 18 weeks (equivalent of a semester)
Student can not have served time in ISS/DAEP during their time at PJH
Selection Process:
Applications are evaluated by the Faculty Council.
Recommendations for membership are sent to Mr. Bryant.
List of new members sent to NJHS Faculty Sponsor- Mrs. Pharis.
Acceptance and denial letters are sent within one week of the Faculty Council meeting.
