Hello! I am very excited about the upcoming school year! I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. This is my eighth year teaching 4th grade math at Paradise Intermediate after teaching 1st grade at Paradise Elementary for 9 years. I graduated from Texas Tech University in 1993 and taught 1st grade in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD before taking a thirteen year hiatus to stay home with my children, J.D. (29) Hannah Beth (26), and Cade (21). All of my kids are 13 year PHS graduates and were heavily involved in sports and extra curricular activities during their time in Paradise ISD. I have a son-in-law, Avery, who is also a PHS grad! I have been married to my husband David for 32 years, and we have lived in the Cottondale area for over twenty-five years. I love God, my family and being with people! I enjoy sports, hiking in the mountains, music, yardwork, decorating, going to thrift stores, and playing games.
I promise to work hard to help your child achieve his/her greatest potential. I will expect your child to do the same. Our motto will be: “Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart”. I will strive to foster an environment everyday that is positive, safe, and conducive to exploring and learning.
I am so happy to have your child in my classroom. Thank you for entrusting him/her to me. Please, please contact me anytime if you have questions or concerns. YOU are your child’s most influential teacher. I want to partner with you to help your child be the best he/she can be in every way!
As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or would like to visit with me about your child, please let me know! My conference time is from 2:05-3:05 (M-Th) and 1:00-2:00 pm (F) and I am available at other times upon request as well! I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
