A little bit about me...
It's hard to believe that this year starts my 20th year in education - WOW! From a young age I knew that my second home would be the classroom. When most kids couldn't wait to get out of school each day, I would help my mom grade papers or fingers crossed take an exciting trip to the teacher's lounge filled with copies, hole punching, letter cutting, and Animal Crackers. I would read to my stuffed animals, ask for gel pens in my stocking at Christmas, and anxiously await the time to go back to school shopping. Even today, I still get excited to decorate my classroom, I love the smell of fresh copy paper, and oh my, to get a new set of felt-tip Ubrand pens and a pretty notebook!! Needless to say, when asked "What do you want to be when you grow up?" - a teacher, of course!
Another easy choice was where to go to college... Like many, I dreamed of making my Dad proud and following in his footsteps. I graduated from Texas A&M in 2007 and began teaching at 21. I've had the privilege to teach so many amazing students - from 7th graders to Seniors, Texas History to Government.
I also recently graduated with my MLA from TCU so Gig Em Ags and Go Frogs :)
When I'm not at school, I'm usually with my husband, Jeremy (or Coach Fatheree as he's affectionally known), and our three boys, Gavin (11th), Graham (8th), and Grayson (4th). I love being at Panther baseball games, Friday Night Lights, traveling with students, going to college football games with Gavin, cheering on my little linebacker Graham, and doing pretty much anything with my buddy Grayson. I'm also really passionate about supporting Wise Choices and our local VFW. More than anything, I'm so grateful for my savior Jesus Christ and the many blessings he's given me.
