Madi Gackenbach, Head Coach

Madi Gackenbach (Ms. G) joined the Plano East team in 2018, fresh out of college. With a Bachelor's Degree in History and a high school debate resume, G teaches all the Debate courses at East. G is an old lady in a young(ish) person's body, enjoying hobbies like baking, reading, and quilting. You can get on her good side with gifts of Coke Zero, sloths, and anything for her son Logan.

Miranda Villanueva, Assistant Coach

Miranda Villanueva (Ms. V) joined the Plano East team in 2022. With a Master's Degree in Theatre and over a decade of experience as a coach, V teaches the Oral Interpretation course and specializes in OI and Speech. V likes her dog Browser and her fiance Steven, but loves Coke Zero and Texas Roadhouse Rolls even more.
