Any student in an AP class or plans to take an AP test should create a college board account. More information below.

For classes that begin 2nd semester your deadline to register and pay is March 6, 2026.
2nd semester classes - Please plan to register and pay by February 27th to avoid late fees or issues with registration.
$40 cancellation fee applies after March 6, 2026
All students who are in an AP class and/or plan on taking an AP test must create a college board account.
https://myap.collegeboard.org/login
It is required for students to use their PISD school emails for their account.
IF you already have a college board account is it REQUIRED for you to make sure you update your email to a PISD email if it is not already.
You also need to remove your phone number if you added it to your account.
DO NOT put in your phone number.
SENIORS - Please make sure you update your email address to a personal email AFTER your AP exams and BEFORE the end of the school year. You will want to make sure you still have access to your account after you graduate.
Make sure you register using your FULL name. No nicknames or shortened versions. (Example: John B.) You must type out your name in full to avoid test registration issues.
PLEASE NOTE - Joining your teachers AP Classroom section does NOT automatically register you for an AP Exam. There are 2 important steps that must be completed in order to be registered. Please see the information in the box below.
You MUST memorize your log in information. Make sure to choose a password you can remember. If you cannot log in to your account on test day you will not be able to test and you will not be rescheduled. You cannot have it written down anywhere on test day, it has to be memorized. Please practice logging in to your account through Bluebook leading up to test day to make sure you do not have any problems.
If you are a new students to Plano East you will need to update the school on your College Board account. Whether you are new to the district or came from McMillen/Williams updating your school to Plano East will ensure you do not encounter any registration problems. This will also ensure you receive your scores after the completion of AP testing.
If you encounter any issues trying to log in or access your account you will need to call College Board customer service to help you. Your teachers and Test Coordinator cannot help you access your account due to personal information security issues. The College Board customer service number is 866-630-9305.
Registering for SEMESTER 2 courses and exams will occur during semester 2. If you are in a course that does not begin until January, you will not register for that AP exam until you are sitting in that course. There is a seperate deadline for second semester only courses. Registration for these exams will not be open until January and choosing a fall exam registration will cause issues for your exam ordering.
Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Plano East Senior High School desires that all students take AP exams for the AP classes that they have taken. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.
For the 2026 AP exams, students at Plano East Senior High School will be registering online. Online Exam registration will begin on Mon, Aug 25, 2025 at 12:14 PM and end on Fri, Mar 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM. The AP exam registration process is two steps, but both can be completed in one sitting when the student and parent/guardian do this together. Even if you do not plan to take the AP exam, you need to complete both steps to access the College Board’s AP resources. Both steps must be completed in order to have AP exams ordered:
Step 1: Begin the process by registering at www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/445569. Here you will indicate both the AP courses you are taking this year and the exams you wish to take. You will receive your join codes and directions to complete the second required step. Any exam fees will be paid online so be sure to have a debit card or credit card available before beginning registration. Paying online is a great way to make sure that payment has been made while avoiding mailing payment.
Step 2: Use the join codes provided at the completion of step one to enroll the student's AP courses and exams in the College Board's system. If you are already enrolled in your teacher's classroom section you can skip this step. You MUST be enrolled in the matching AP Classroom section for which you registered for an exam in Total Registration for an exam to be ordered for you.
This year each AP exam costs $103.00. Plano East Senior High School desires that every student be able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Ms Avery Bustetter, avery.bustetter@pisd.edu, in the Testing Center to learn more.
