Background Information

My name is Maggie O’Connor, and I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year in kindergarten. I thought it might be fun and insightful to let you know a little about me!

I have taught kindergarten here at Hickey for the last ten years, and I truly believe “Hickey Elementary is the best school in the world”. My husband is a retired fire marshal and now a Deputy Constable for Collin County here in Plano, and we have 3 beautiful children- Jacob (in college), Caleb (17) Plano East, and Grace (10) here at Hickey. I especially love spending time with my family, swimming, and exercising! We love to go out to eat Mexican food and watch movies together.

I am not sure if you can tell, but I really have a fondness for owls… big, bright, colorful owls! My favorite color is pink, and I adore polka-dots. My passion is when I get to “create” things. I enjoy crafting, sewing, and all things creative. I love to shop at Hobby Lobby, Target and drink Starbucks…. So don’t be surprised when you see me around town, since my family lives so close to Hickey in the Timberbrook neighborhood.
