If you missed the timeframe for picking up a device at your campus or if you have a problem with the device you received, the Plano ISD help desk is available to assist you in obtaining a working Chromebook. Contact the help desk Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at (469) 752-8767, or email tsos@pisd.edu. The help desk will work with your campus to coordinate the repair, pickup or delivery of your device.

Be our guest on the PISDGuest network. Free wireless Internet access is available in the parking lots at several schools throughout the district. Visit the Wifi Spots at Schools webpage to find out where to park-and-play on the PISDGuest network. All families are asked to remain in their vehicles while on district property. Free WiFi Access: The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has developed guidance for providing Internet Access to students.

Parents without home access to the Internet may consider these free WiFi opportunities from area providers:
Free internet + WiFi for 60 days to Pre-K to 12 students, college students, and teacher households who have not had service with Spectrum in the past 30 days (2 month credit)

Xfinity WiFi Free For Everyone: Xfinity WiFi hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free – including non-Xfinity Internet subscribers. For a map of Xfinity WiFi hotspots, visit www.xfinity.com/wifi. Once at a hotspot, consumers should select the “xfinitywifi” network name in the list of available hotspots and then launch a browser.
No Disconnects or Late Fees: We will not disconnect a customer’s internet service or assess late fees if they contact us and let us know that they can’t pay their bills during this period. Our care teams will be available to offer flexible payment options and can help find other solutions.
Comcast Internet Essentials: New Comcast Internet Essentials customers will receive two free months of Internet service (apply by April 30, 2020).
You may qualify if you:
Live in an area where Comcast Internet Service is available.
Are eligible for public assistance programs like the National School Lunch Program, housing assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, SSI, and others.
Have not subscribed to Comcast Internet within the last 90 days.
Have no outstanding debt to Comcast that is less than one year old.

Mobile Hotspot data for current customers:
Adding 15 GB of data across nearly all plans, to be used between 03/25/2020 and 04/30/2020. To be eligible, you must be on a qualifying postpaid (unlimited or shared), Jetpack or prepaid plans
Waiving activation and upgrade fees
Current customers:
If you are experiencing hardship because of COVID-19 and cannot pay your bill in full, they will not charge you a late fee or terminate your service during this difficult period. This policy is currently in effect through May 13, 2020.
To qualify, you must let them know that you are experiencing hardship by completing this short form.
Once you have submitted your hardship form, your account will be protected from late fees and service termination through May 13, 2020.

Providing Unlimited data for 60 days to customers with metered data plans (effective 3/18)
Giving 20 GB of free mobile hotspot to customers with hotspot-capable devices (effective 3/18)
