When choosing a career, you want to choose something you will enjoy doing for work! But how will you know what you will like to do? Well, Dr. John Holland learned that people work best in work environments that match things they enjoy. He created a way to help us learn what our interest areas are and that most people are a combination of two or three of these areas. These two or three areas become our "Holland Code" Look at the graphic on the left, you see six different interest areas: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. These are the interest areas that will make up your Holland Code. Take the following interest assessment to learn what your top two or three interests are to make your Holland Code, then begin to research which careers you may enjoy.
