The Andrews Counseling Program will nurture students to be successful by implementing an inclusive curriculum that works to support all students’ education in academic, career, and personal/social development in collaboration with the school community.

School Counselor Introduction
Kindergarten- Fifth Grade
Students will differentiate between different types of problems and understand how to reach the school counselor.
Mental Health
Kindergarten
Students will learn about "flipping their lids".
Students will learn how to use breathing as the first coping skill to regulate their big emotions.
First Grade
Students will learn to recognize when they are becoming dysregulated and the steps needed to help them solve the problem appropriately.
Students will learn how to use breathing as a coping skill to self regulate.
Second Grade
Students will identify multiple self-regulation strategies.
Students will learn be able to recognize when others are using self-regulation strategies.
Third Grade
Students will Increase awareness of emotions by identifying physical characteristics/signs that coping skills would help.
Students will Identify and recognize three effective coping skills.
Fourth Grade
Students will improve regulation skills by identifying triggers that cause loss of regulation.
Students will Identify and recognize three school-based triggers for different zones of regulation.
Fifth Grade
Students will Problem-solve positive solutions for different scenarios.
Students will Identify and recognize three school-based coping skills for each zone of regulation.
