LONG SOUND AND LONG SILENCE

OBJECTIVE:

At the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to:

Identify the musical symbols that represent long sounds and long silence.
Read and write half notes, half rests, whole notes, whole rests, and dotted half notes.

In music, there are sounds that are long, and short. These long and short sounds are arranged together to make rhythmic patterns. Some rhythmic patterns may have silence that is long and silence in short.
