Learning Competencies
At the end of this lesson, the learners will be able to:
· Provide better understanding of the importance of respect.
· Bring awareness and support in Anti- bullying programs.
· Demonstrate commitment to support of Values Education through healthy and friendly activities.
Anti-bullying refers to laws, policies, organizations, and movements aimed at stopping or preventing bullying.
Bullying is a situation where a person, called a bully, verbally or physically threatens or assaults a person, causing the person to feel a real or perceived power imbalance .
Respect for all is our system-wide response to bullying. We are committed to keeping our schools safe, supportive, and free from discrimination. Receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful toward others. Respect means that you accept somebody for who they are, even when they’re different from you or you don’t agree with them. Respect in your relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing.
