3rd Grade has started working on fishing. Students are learning how to use a fishing pole properly, how to cast, and how to fix any issues they may have with their equipement.

Thank you to everyone who has helped support our PE program. With the funds raised from the last Family PE Night we were able to purchase golf training mats as well as indoor golf balls. Thank you also to everyone who has donated extra golf clubs and baseball mitts for our students!

3rd Grade students began their fishing unit this week. Students have started learning about the different parts of a rod and reel, how to trouble shoot issues, how to cast, and how to tie their own lines.

This week grades 2-6 will be completing their Q4 Runner's Club Challenge. This is their last Runner's Club of the year and all students have been putting in phenomenal effort! This week every single student, who tested, in Ms. Heier's 3rd grade class earned a spot in this quarters Runner's Club!

Kindergarten reviewed various skills this week while working in stations.

All grades have now completed the PE Jump Rope Ninja Challenge. Over the course of each grades' jump rope unit they had the opportunity to test for different belts.

Our first Family PE Night is in the books. Thank you to everyone who came out this weekend and thanks to all those who donated to the Tioga Physical Education Fund. All the money raised will go towards equipment and projects to expand the PE curriculum.

6th Grade has been hard at work the last several weeks working on their Lacrosse skills and are now putting them to use in modfied games of Lacrosse for PE class.

This week kicks off our first ever Jump Rope Ninjas Challenge. Students will be learning and practicing their jump rope skills and then will have the opportunity to test to earn different "belts."

This week 6th grade is breaking in our new lacrosse equipment. Today students are starting to get used to stick handling and testing out throwing with a lacrosse stick.

With the Christmas Concert tonight we moved PE into the music room for the day. Students had the chance to sharpen their Rock, Paper, Scissors (RPS) skills in the active game of 4-Corners RPS.

Today students at Central completed their yearly Thanksgiving Tree in Physical Education (PE) class. Students had the opportunity to add their own leaves with things that they are thankful for this year.

Mrs. Meyers's 1st grade class completed their Thanksgiving activities today. They were the first class to start working on Central's Thanksgiving Tree and afterward they were able to go on a "Turkey Hunt."

Music Concert is a wrap and we are back to our normal PE schedule. To get back into the swing of things, before Thanksgiving, students spent the day reviewing routines, getting new Home Base spots, and staying active through a variety of activities.

With concert rehearsal in the gymnasium today PE class is in the Music room again. Today students completed various exercises and competed in games of rock, paper, scissors to earn tickets in a game called 4 Corners Rock Paper Scissors.

PE Class looks a little different this week. With concert practice in the gymnasium today and tomorrow students are able to use the music room for PE and learn about different kinds of workouts today.

1st Grade got a chance to use all their goalie and striking skills they have been working on all week to play one giant game of Striker Ball on Mr. Schwartz's last day of student teaching.

This week grades 2-6 completed their first of four Runner's Club Challenges. This is a challenge where students attempt to jog for as long as they can, up to ten minutes, in an effort to make it into one of three Runner's Club. They all worked very hard this week toward their goals. Great job Central!
