Hello ALL Faculty, Staff, Managers and Administrators,
REMINDER - as the deadline is fast approaching please have your PSLF forms to Human Resources by Monday, October 24, 2022. We want to ensure we can process them in a timely manner and return them back to you before the October 31, 2022 deadline.
As many may be aware there has been a recent extension granted for the Federal Loan Forgiveness program waiver; if you are not aware of the program, the extended waiver and your potential eligibility I encourage you to continue reading.
On HR's SBCC webpages there is a great deal of information related to the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Program; you will find links to relevant materials that will provide updated information regarding the program, frequently asked questions, the application form and a secure email link where you can submit your request. We are recommending anyone that has not submitted a request within the last 12 months to complete the form with your personal information and submit it to the HR department.
Any part time faculty members that have recently submitted a request to HR are being asked to resubmit the form to the human resources department so that we can reverify the information submitted and ensure that we have calculated your hours worked using the appropriate formula so that you are given the maximum credit possible.
Forms should be submitted to HR using the following LINK to ensure timely processing.
*To receive benefits of the limited PSLF waiver, SBCC's signature and date on your PSLF form must be on or before Oct. 31, 2022, even if you submit your form at a later date. In anticipation of an increased number of requests we ask that you submit your forms as soon as possible to ensure it is processed in a timely manner by the HR department. Click on the links below to learn more about the current waiver available or to go directly to the Federal Student Aid Website.
Human Resources will begin sending out an annual reminder to all employees during the Spring semester; employees are encouraged to submit the form on an annual basis.
