Homework

Each week, your child will bring home a homework packet with fun and engaging activities that reinforce the skills we are learning in the classroom. Homework packets will be sent home at the beginning of each week and are encouraged to be returned in your child's homework folder by Friday (or Thursday if there is no school on Friday).

While homework is not graded, it provides valuable practice and helps strengthen the concepts your child is learning in class. We encourage families to work together on the activities, taking time to complete them carefully and do their best.

One of the greatest gifts you can give your child is the love of reading! Please spend at least 10 minutes each evening reading to or with your child. A few weeks into the school year, your child will begin bringing home a Red Reading Folder with books that match their current reading level. Reading these books at home helps build confidence, improve fluency, and celebrate your child's growth as a reader. Please help your child take good care of their books and remember to return them each week so they can read with me, earn a reward, and receive a new book.
