What We Are Learning 1/12-1/16

Math

We will continue Unit 4: Addition and Subtraction. This week students will be solving addition problems with totals up to 5. We will also connect story problems to pictures, objects, 5-frames, and number sentences.

Letterland/Skills

This week students will practice building words and sentences with the following word families: -at (as in cat and rat) and –ap (as in nap and cap). Students will also continue to read and answer comprehension questions from our “Seth” reader.

Listening and Learning

We will continue Domain 6: Native Americans. This week students will learn about the Wampanoag and Lenape tribes. Students will learn how these tribes lived, including their food, shelter, and culture. Please use the information sheet that will be sent home to help your child review. Our Domain 6 Assessment will be on Wednesday, January 21st.
