Team Co-Captain
My name is Jayden Robbs. I am in the 11th grade at Pinnacle Classical Academy. I am one of the two team captains. This is my fourth year of FTC robotics. I had joined robotics because I wanted to know the process of building a robot. Some of my hobbies include playing tuba in our school band, playing basketball, and playing Super Smash Bros. on my Nintendo Switch.I plan on studying Electrical Engineering at Western Carolina University. I hope to improve our game and win the championship! I want to give a shout-out to our programmers Ben and Owen. We couldn’t drive at all without them. I also want to shout out our mentors that have helped us so much throughout our season.
I am a freshman at Pinnacle Classical Academy. This is my third year on the FTC team at Pinnacle. I also participated in FLL one year. Some of my other interests are playing soccer and participating in track and field. I like being in robotics because it is not only challenging, but also fun. I like the way we program and build robots to complete certain tasks. I think I like being in FTC better than being in FLL because we have much better coaching on FTC and I didn’t feel we made as much progress as we could have. FTC is also a lot more fun because many of my best friends are also on the team. That makes meetings more fun and dynamic. My main jobs on the robotics team have been learning CAD and working on the lift system for moving the playing pieces in the vertical axis. My favorite subjects in school are Math and Science. I like them best because I like learning about the different aspects of science and the universe, in general. I think Science is cool!
I am a freshman at Pinnacle Classical Academy and in my third year on the FTC Robotics team. My job on the team is to help wherever needed with building. For example, I help with the electrical system. I also was the one that gathered all the items and helped organize things. I was born in Shelby, and have lived here all my life. In my free time I love to play games and play soccer. When I was younger, I loved to play with Legos and other things like that. When I was in FLL Robotics, that gave me a big boost. But now that I'm on the FTC team it’s a lot harder but still very fun! I would like to give a shoutout to Dr. Cahill for everything that she does for the team. She spends money on us to buy parts and fields. She even feeds us. She had done so much for us over the past three years, and we are so lucky to have her.
I am a freshman at Pinnacle Classical Academy. I have been co-captain for our robotics team for the past two years. This is my third year in FTC robotics but I've been doing FLL since third grade. I joined the team because it is something I really enjoy doing (tinkering around with robots and programming) and I get to be around some of my closest friends. I have been programming for about four years and am a fairly talented Python programmer. I’ve spent the past year and a half learning Java for robotics. I also recently started learning some more low level languages such as C and Assembly. My main project right now is a stock price prediction service using Tensorflow and Keras. I am really excited about being a programmer, captain, and possibly a driver this robotics season. I am the main programmer for the team, and I have my own robot named Solaris that we are using as a competition robot this year.
I am a seventh grader this year at Pinnacle Classical Academy. This is my first year on the FTC Robotics Team. I love working with robots, RC cars, computers, and the like. At my last school, I took two semesters of programming classes. My favorite thing so far about the team is learning about the robot itself and working on the programs. I am still learning the coding used. Outside of robotics, I am in the band and enjoy playing the drums at every opportunity. This is my first year at Pinnacle Classical Academy.
I am a sophomore at Pinnacle Classical Academy. This is my second year in FTC Robotics. My primary job this year has been working on the lift system to move game pieces in the vertical axis. I was born in Shelby, North Carolina, and I am fifteen years old. I have three other siblings who all go to Pinnacle Classical Academy with me. This year we have the same captains: Mr. Benjamin Dash Caunt and Mr. Jayden Robbs.
This is my seventh year at Pinnacle. I’m in seventh grade, and have been here since the beginning. This is my first year in Robotics, and I am really excited to learn more. I’m hoping to be able to understand how to work, build, and program a robot. I want to be an engineer, and my dream college is MIT. I hope I can use my creativity to help FTC. I’ve been told I’m pretty smart, so I am hoping to prove that here. I play the clarinet in band, am on the yearbook team, and love to write. I’m really excited to get to know everyone!
