Weekly Update
National Latin Exam scheduled for March 10!
All students who have taken Latin this school year (fall 2025 and spring 2026) are required to take the National Latin Exam. This is a great opportunity for students to be recognized for their hard work in Latin. Students who score 77% or above are eligible for certificates and awards!
Monday, March 9: Seniors will take a field trip to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. Please review the attached parent letter for details. Permission slips should be returned to homeroom teachers as soon as possible.

Exciting Opportunity Open Now for NC Students! Senate Page Program - Applications are Now Open! This is an amazing chance for high school students (10th-12th grade) to:
Experience the NC legislative process firsthand
Work with lawmakers and staff in the Senate Chamber
Learn how laws are made inside the State Capitol
Who is eligible: High school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in good academic standing.

Thursday, February 12th: PEAK will be holding its monthly meeting at the lower campus in the gymnasium at 6:00 pm. Please come out to hear musical performances from our students, receive an update on all upcoming PEAK activities and socialize with fellow Pinnacle families.
Friday, February 13: It's Heart Health Awareness Day! Students may wear a red t-shirt with jeans or uniform bottoms. Please remember:
Jeans may not have holes or tears (patches or leggings underneath do not change this)
Uniform shoes are required
Hooded sweatshirts, zippered sweatshirts with hoods and Leggings are not permitted at any time.
Friday, February 13th: SSM will be meeting in the high school meeting room at 7:00 am. This is open to all 4-12 students. Students attending should be dropped off at the high school office entrance no earlier than 7:00 am

we’d love for your student to join us! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is open to
current sophomores and juniors to explore new places, experience different
cultures, and build lifelong skills.

Please be reminded of our Uniform Policy which doesn't allow hoods worn in the building.
Cell Phones & Smart Watches:
Personal Electronic Devices Cell phones and all other personal electronic devices (including but not limited to smart watches, MP3 players, personal computers/laptops, video games, tablets, etc.) are NOT allowed at school during the school day. Any personal electronic device found during the day will be confiscated. Cell phones are permitted on field trips and athletic travel events with appropriate documentation on file.
-Consequences -
1st offense - Student’s personal electronic device will be taken and turned into the front office for a parent/guardian to pick-up.
2nd offense - Student’s personal electronic device will be taken and turned into the front office for a parent/guardian to pick-up. Student will also receive a one day suspension.
3rd offense and beyond - Student’s personal electronic device will be taken and turned into the front office for a parent/guardian to pick-up. Student will also receive a three day suspension. Repeated violations may result in longer suspensions, up to long-term suspension.
