Homework

Math Homework

Each week your child will have a math packet to be completed neatly and turned in on time for full credit. There will be no math homework on Fridays.  Math homework is checked for a homework grade.

Spelling Homework 

Each week your child will have a spelling packet to be completed neatly and turned in on time for full credit. Students should use their best hand writing. There will be no spelling homework on Fridays. Spelling homework is checked for a homework grade.

Reading Homework

Students should read their Reading Folder book every night.  They should master at least two books each week.  Reading nightly from books that are on their reading level is extremely important to ensure that your child is on the expected reading level at the end of First Grade.  The Reading log is checked for a homework grade.  Students must read a minimum of two books each week to get full credit.

Please note that homework is a portion of your child's academic grade.

Homework assignments should be returned neat, complete, and on time for your child to earn full credit. 

A parent or adult should assist and/or check to ensure homework is neat, correct and complete.
